Shortcuts for Mac App Reviews

informatic app for newcomer

for people like me who are very new to the mac system this app is a blessing in disguise i must say as it comes very handy for me to get along with the shortcut keys & by practice memorize them. For such an app the prices is absolute reasonable.

Not bad for a dollar

For a dollar, its an impulse buy and worth it to new mac owners. For the experienced users, spend your dollar somewhere else. I wish it had more, but the description did say "Learn the most important shortcuts" I cant find it to be too difficult to add more shortcuts in their spreadsheet of a library, and I hope that more content comes if they were to charge $2 for it.

not so good...

i really thought that this app would bring something new in terms of shortcuts, but it only offers the very logical ones, i.e. the ones you could figure out by yourself. There are many websites that offer the same info for free. I guess its convenient to have them around but it would be better to have categories for more advanced users... thanks anyways.

Right price

Okay, some errors (ctrl-k / y dont really work). Wouldbe nice if it had a list of special character commands (é, ° ) and so on.

The real deal

If it was woth 4 stars before it is now worth 5 stars knowing that it is from a source that is responsive to its users need. Aperture next please.

terrible!

nothing here that i could;t find online for free! dont buy!

Must Have App

Great to speed up your work. Really helpful!

Great learning experience

I learned a lot just in 5 minutes. This is a real timesaver.

it is useless

it is really useless, and should be easy, otherwise why should i pay, i can search on the net.

Shortcuts for MAC

Problem: in the top shirtcuts panel, the list expands out of the screen, without any possibility to resize or scrolling (MACAIR)

Not a bad app

Nice exposure to shortcuts that can be difficult to discover otherwise. REALLY needs a resize handle on the window. Overall, nicely done and useful app for those wanting to learn app shortcuts.

Good idea; needs work.

I could have just created a pages document and opened that for reference. Instead I have this hunk of junk window on my desktop that I cant resize. Once you close the window you cant repoen it without quiting the app. Once you close the window there is no way to reopen the app without quiting and then reopening. Why is there no window resize option? Would be nice to have a menu bar icon. Hideous dock icon Whats the return policy for this new app store?

I do not know ...

What I dont like: 1. You cant edit/ extend. 2. Incomplete

Very Nice!!!

On my dock and in my mind!!! Thank you for this great app!!!

A promising start to a valuable resource

I always forget which particular screenshot shortcut combo does what, and always have to traipse over to the web to find out. Its nice to have the resource in one handy spot. The app does need some polish. In particular Ive already found several typos in my brief exploration of the app. Still, in another version or two I can see this app going from handy aid to indispensible resource, especially for a legally-blind keyboard junky like me.

Pretty basic, but good.

Its a good way to just have all the shortcuts in one place, but I thought it would have some less well known shortcuts. Often I have to google the keyboard shortcut for something like the degree symbol and I was hoping this app would be a library of that sort of thing, but it isnt. It is good if you are just looking for some basic shortcuts. Hopefully there will be an update that includes more. Interface is nice and easy to use, and each shortcut is well described.

Very nice little App

Ive been a Mac user for a few years now and I didnt even realize how many of these little shortcuts I didnt know :) Well worth the 99 cent price.

Useful but needs a few more shortcuts

There are certainly plenty of useful shortcuts that even I didnt know, however I really wish it had a feature to add shortcuts to the list as you learn them. For example, there are 2 shortcuts that I used to find VERY helpful but over time I forgot them and then when the aluminum keyboard came out they became slightly harder to use. Control + F2 (Now Control + Fn + F2): Move focus to the finder bar - places keyboard focus on the apple menu where you can arrow through all the menus on the finder bar. Control + F3 (Now Control + Fn + F3): Move focus to the Dock - places keyboard focus on the Dock so you can arrow through app icons on your dock. Pressing Space or Return on a dock icon launches the app. Command + D: Dont Save - When you have a the [ (Dont Save) (Cancel) (Save) ] box up, you can quickly choose not to save using this shortcut, save is Return by default, and esc cancels. These shortcuts would be a welcome addition. But for $0.99 the app is still worth it, especially if you arent keyboard savvy.

Very Good, but CAUTION IMPORTANT READ THIS

The program includes most important shortcuts a user will ever need. CAUTION: This program tells you which keys to press for certain shortcuts, it does NOT let you make your own. But as long as you know that, and that is not what you are trying to do, then this program is great!

Just right. Nothing weird.

This is just the thing I needed. It doesnt mess with anything, doesnt do anything weird, but simply collects together a bunch of useful shortcuts in several categories including All, Top Shortcuts, and categories for each of several apps. There is even a Special / Fun category (though it is pretty easy to maintain ones composure here).
